Lore

The leader of this religion was a good man named Mehmet. He paid homage to the sacrificed plants and animals by sending up prayers to the gods, thanking them for their bounty. He often spoke in riddles but was kind to those seeking help. He gave shelter to those who sought help and longed for nature, teaching the ways of the seasons and how they changed. He warned constantly of the deathcat, Seir, to beware of him and to live life to the fullest. When he abdicated, Nadur hung in the balance, unsure, until Halger filled his position and began to teach of the mind and heart. He taught of how the primordials, the elementals who ruled the land, air, water, fire, earth, and spirit, constantly battled each other. He brought many of the tribal practices to light within Nadur Bekhai and taught of finding balance with the lands.

Worship, Faith & Practices

Nadur has many rituals that the members follow. The Rituals are meant to help the member focus and become one with the world around them.

The Ritual of Good Faith This ritual is performed in the evening, generally after a meal. Candles are lit matching the beads they wear and they offer others to join as they step into the circle. Red is placed west, yellow south, blue east, and green north. The purple candle is held by the leader of the religion in the center of the circle. This ritual is meant to cleanse the land.

The Ritual of Spirits This an individual and private ritual where a single member gathers three elements from nature- a leaf, a rock, a cup of water, a feather, a bit of fur, seeds; whatever they find that day that has brought them meaning. They place the three items in a plain clay bowl called the Heart Crucible. They meditate on the items to help purify their heart and mind and give themselves focus for the direction in their lives. They take meaning from the three items. This is generally performed at sunset on the final day of the week, to help reflect on the week and look forward to the week ahead.
